Andre Gómez Lombardi
(2020) Ph.D. (c) in Science and Engineering for Health, Universidad de Valparaíso, Valparaíso, Chile
I am a Speech Language Therapist, dedicated mainly to the diagnosis of hearing and otoneurological disorders. In 2016, I obtained my master’s degree in Statistics and started collaborating in research related to cognitive aging, using electroencephalography (EEG). I am currently a Ph.D. student in the «Sciences and Engineering in Health» program at the Universidad de Valparaíso, Valparaíso, Chile. The main goal of my doctoral thesis, part of the Vibrain project, is in line with current efforts in the field of neurorehabilitation. It consists of quantifying the effect of auditory rhythmic sensory stimulation at specific frequencies. The effect will be observed on oscillatory activity and performance on cognitive tasks in healthy older adults.
